New Updates for Castle Crashers, Battleblock Theater etc.!!

 earlier today there was a roadmap stream talking about new updates and ports of existing behemoth games as well as a confirmation that they're working on game 6!

we don't know much about game 6 besides the fact that it's happening (obviously) but we obviously know quite a bit about the future updates:

castle crashers:

castle crashers is getting a new DLC which adds a new character (paint junior) and the ability to draw and play as your own character (which is great as someone that has castle crashers OCs and a castle crashers swap AU lol), this means the game will also get a workshop meaning we can upload what we make for others to use and can use what others make which is awesome

already existing characters will also get a graphical overhaul that can be toggled on and off: 

battleblock theater:

battleblock theater is also getting somewhat of a graphical overhaul on steam: graphics will be less compressed, more higher framerates will be available, higher audio bitrates, some bug fixes and support for more controller types!, while not as crazy as castle crashers' update it's still huge and will make the game a much more enjoyable experience in the current era, there's also plans for modern ports which i also really appreciate as i've always wanted a switch port for some reason lol, it's only been on xbox and steam for YEARS so having more ports will also make it more widely accessible for more people

pit people:

pit people is also finally getting update 8 at some point, i don't play the game anymore due to the gameplay just not being for me (though i did at least beat the game before i quit) but it's great that they haven't totally abandoned the game for the people that do still play and enjoy it, unfortunately don't have anymore info at this time

alien hominid HD and alien hominid invasion:

while not as big an update as the others this is still again really nice to have for some people, both alien hominid HD and alien hominid invasion are finally getting PS4 AND PS5 ports in the near future which just like BBT's future ports will make the game more widely accessible and that's really nice

that should be all the info that was revealed in the stream earlier, obviously as more news comes out i will try to post about it here whether it be release dates, further info etc.

Alien Hominid Invasion and the HD re-release finally have a release date!

after almost 4 years of waiting yesterday The Behemoth finally gave us a release date for Alien Hominid Invasion and the re-release of Alien Hominid HD

they both release on November 1st! which just so happens to be 13 days before my 20th birthday so i see it as a really good early birthday present lol

i'm really excited to play Invasion properly outside of beta demo's and such and to play HD on more modern hardware especially Steam since it was stuck as an Xbox 360 exclusive until now (i do have the 360 version but i don't play my 360 much)

i'm hoping to get both games on release especially with how cheap the bundle is (around 25 dollars USD) but only time will tell, after all we still have around 3 weeks until release but nonetheless i can't wait for this game to finally be out in the world after so many years

Alien Hominid HD is coming to more consoles!

 so yknow that blog post i posted about Alien Hominid HD's name change on Xbox's website?

well apparently that was because they are finally porting Alien Hominid HD to Steam, Switch and Xbox One (again)!

people have been asking for the original console version of Alien Hominid to be ported to newer consoles and Steam for years and i won't lie i've always wanted it on Steam myself and now it's finally happening

this on top of Castle Crashers getting a physical release on Switch and all the cool Pax West exclusive stuff is giving me a FEAST

Castle Crashers is getting a physical release!

 in a tweet The Behemoth posted they have revealed that next month pre-orders will open for a physical version of Castle Crashers for the Nintendo Switch!

said physical edition will also come with a sticker sheet and a character unlock guide and will cost around $39.99 USD

this is their first physical release since Alien Hominid on GBA in Australia back in 2007

i am beyond hype for this release and cannot wait until i can get my own copy especially because of the character unlock guide even though i already have the game on Switch lol

Alien Hominid... 360?

so for whatever reason Alien Hominid HD has been changed to Alien Hominid 360 on Xbox's website, the title has not been changed in the description or the game's website alienhominid.com

last i checked a few months ago it was still called Alien Hominid HD though the add ons had the Alien Hominid 360 title showing the change had been planned for a while

why the title was changed is unknown at this time seeing as it was called Alien Hominid HD since it's release in 2007, maybe it's so people don't confuse it for Alien Hominid Invasion since it's also gonna be on Xbox? unless we get an answer from Dan Paladin himself or someone at The Behemoth in general we may never know

Site update #6

decided to re-word all the pages again cause i felt some of the writing was just hard to read and a little too much, now with most of the games it goes a little more in depth and doesn't spoil endings

i also decided to add the banners from each games steam page (in the case of alien hominid i took it from the alien hominid HD website) to their respective pages so they don't look as bland

Battleblock Theater turns 10!

 battleblock theater is now officially a decade old as of today!

i remember seeing the game all over youtube in 2013-2014 ish and then eventually getting into the game myself in 2016 when i bought the game on steam, it's forever changed my life, i mean clearly seeing as i have this whole blog and fansite going on (though castle crashers is my main favorite lol)

it felt like yesterday when i was celebrating the 6th anniversary in 2019 (didn't really celebrate it in the years prior lol)

here's to another 10 years!!

Alien Hominid Invasion finally has a release date!

sorry for not posting on the blog for over a year lol

never really had the need for it due to no major updates being announced

if you read the title however you know that this has finally changed 

on the 12th day of the behemoth's "12 days of invasion" thing on twitter they finally announced that...

ALIEN HOMINID IS COMING OUT NEXT YEAR!! (2023)

i honestly kinda hoped that they would do this and im glad that i was right lol

no exact date (like which month in 2023) has been revealed yet but either way im glad it's finally coming out after 3 years of waiting

decided to re-word some text on the main page, all the game pages and fun fact pages as they were kinda weird and possibly hard to understand

 i decided to move all the "fun fact" sections on the game's pages to separate pages instead of on the same page as info about the game and such so its not so cluttered so hopefully its better to view now

also decided to remove the guestbook off the site since it just seems to be a place for spam and not actual people telling me about the site (i wanna know if people actually like my site past my group of friends since im not famous but i guess it cant be helped)

The Behemoth turns 18 today

in my timezone (CST) its now 2 am which means the behemoth is now 18 years old! (according to wikipedia)

ill follow suit in 6 months because i was born in the same year they were founded (2003) just in different months

i wanna see if i can make an animation for this occasion but i gotta figure out ideas first (if not an animation maybe just regular art)
